Ioana Stroe’s career started with a Bachelor of Education and a few years as a teacher for elementary and secondary school in Brasov, Romania. In 2006 she was introduced to the seed testing world at the N.A.K. (Nederlandse Algemene Keuringsdienst voor zaaizaad en pootgoed van landbouwgewassen – Dutch General Inspection Service for seeds of agricultural crops and seed potatoes) in Emmeloord, The Netherlands, where she specialized in testing seed purity.
With 9 years of experience, Ioana joined our Winnipeg branch in 2015. She became a Licensed Seed Crop Inspector and Senior Seed Analyst two years later. Since 2019 Ioana has become an integral part of the Chile program that conducts sampling, processing, testing and documentation for hybrid canola seed during the contra-season. Ioana`s motto: “Dacă vrei, poţi!” (If you want it, you can do it)!
