Our commitment to obtaining our ISTA accreditation began several years ago and became a reality in 2000. The ISTA vision is to promote uniformity in seed testing and that is an integral part of our business. Our clients have trust in our results because of the knowledge that the tests are based on standardized methods. The results are more meaningful and can be used with confidence to evaluate seed quality.
The ISTA working committees endeavor to stay ahead of the agricultural industries business needs by refining and developing new seed testing methods which keep ISTA accredited labs current and able to offer our clients the necessary services they require. 20/20 Seed Labs Inc is very much a part of that scientific community as we attend ISTA meetings, workshops and collaborate in referee projects. Additionally as part of our accreditation, we must participate in proficiency testing. Every year, blind seed samples will be received, tested and completed by our experienced staff.
Our performance is monitored and used to determine our level of expertise. To date our overall average rating has been an “A”. This important performance based approach allows us to bench mark our results against other ISTA accredited laboratories. We are therefore in complete compliance with the laboratory accreditation standard and can offer our services on an international level. These standardized methods are also very beneficial to our Canadian (domestic) clients as we can broaden our repertoire of tests.
