Our new laboratory in Lethbridge is now in full swing and we are very much getting into a routine. We enjoy our clients dropping by with samples and are anxiously awaiting to host a grand opening soon so that we can show case some of the specialty tests that we are offering. We have certainly been something of a novelty here in southern Alberta there is a lot interest in our work and we have been very happy to tour folks through. We are really enjoying being local. We recently hosted an International Vigour workshop in Edmonton, we featured canola, soybeans and peas. The event was well attended and we were fortunate to have such experienced presenters join us from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. The workshop focused on new methods and existing ISTA validated methods that we believe will become recognized as practical tests for the three crop types we worked on. Our delegates spanned the globe too, traveling from Australia, Europe and Asia, we’ve made new friends in this scientific community which is always a huge benefit to our knowledge base.
Show season has also kicked off, the first one being the Ag Show in Red Deer several weeks ago and now the Farming Smarter Conference in Medicine Hat is underway. We willbe there too, in fact Shay Isleifson our office manager will be at the booth, as well as myself. Please drop by and see us. We have some interesting topics on our display and also some trade show specials, BUT you have to come by to qualify!! We look forward to seeing you there.
